Meet the Team

Dr. Patty Denault

Chiropractor, Owner

Most days, you’ll find me snuggled up with a book and crocheting on the couch. I’m a wife, cat mom and our little family is always looking for the next great outdoor adventure. I’m a chiropractor who is invested in your overall health and well-being. I have a passion for empowering women and their families to keep asking questions and never give up on improving their livelihood. I thrive on creating unique solutions and programs for those who dream of neurological regulation and no more pain! I have a style that is free-spirited yet rooted in education and research. My job is to show you that your health and wellness goals are possible and provide the tools and services you need to feel and function your best. All you’ve got to do is show up and let me be your guiding light along the way.

Michaela Dishner

Office Manager

Michaela is that smiling face that greets you when you walk into the practice. She schedules appointments, answers the phones, and handles all of the billing. She is the glue that holds us all together! Michaela is a mom to a beautiful baby girl named Addison (you will occasionally see her around the office if you’re lucky). A fun fact about Michaela is that she is also a licensed esthetician. Her favorite thing about working at Alamance Family Chiropractic is building relationships with the patients.

Grayson provides administrative and clinical support for Dr. Patty, assisting with patient care, office management, and communication. She will help guide you through your visits at Alamance Family Chiropractic. With a background in esthetics, Grayson enjoys working with people and getting to know our patients. Grayson’s fun fact? Her husband’s name is also Grayson! Yes, you heard that right! Life is never boring with two Graysons under one roof, especially with their adorable (and slightly spoiled) fur baby, Blu, who proudly runs the show.

Integrative Health & Wellness

Joanna Burgess

Joanna offers bodywork, fitness training, and wellness coaching to help clients relieve pain, recover from injury, and move with ease and resilience.

She specializes in the Hendrickson Method®, an advanced system of orthopedic, clothed bodywork that reduces pain, restores mobility, and supports whole-body balance. In contrast to spa massage and a focus on isolated symptoms, this approach works with the body as an integrated system—addressing fascial restrictions, joint limitations, and muscle imbalances in the context of how each person moves, compensates, and adapts.

Her personal training sessions emphasize functional, sustainable movement, combining targeted exercise with self-myofascial-release (self massage) techniques using foam rollers and therapy balls. Between hands-on sessions, Joanna supports clients remotely as a Wellcoaches® health and wellness coach, helping people build lasting habits and create meaningful change.

Clients describe her work as “studied and intuitive,” with a “bold and grounded” approach. She welcomes people of all body types, abilities, and backgrounds. Joanna relocated to North Carolina from California and enjoys hiking, paddling, yoga, dance, and wellness podcasts.
